Some time ago the Ranst painter Paul Hofman asked for a look at his works and to write a review about them. It is always interesting to hear the judgment of someone else about your own creations.
With a fairly large productivity in recent years, you can also see the growth of this passionate painter. A diverse color palette characterizes his works. Paul does not simply “go with the flow” but has his own view of the things around him.
Personally, I call him a progressive realist, whose works are sometimes close to pointillism, impressionism and pop art (Black City, Flower City and Burj Khalifa are typical examples of this.)
Ecological footprint “41” and “the kids” testify of a different approach. This variety charactherizes Paul. Time and again wrestling with the material with the ultimate result as a result. A pleasure for the eye.

Enige tijd geleden vroeg de Rantse schilder Paul Hofman een kijk op zijn werken te nemen en een recentie over deze te schrijven. Het is altijd interessant om het oordeel van en ander iemand te horen omtrent je eigen creaties.
Met een vrij grote productiviteit de laatste jaren kan je ook de groei van deze gedreven schilder zien.Een divers kleurenpalet kenmerkt zijn werken. Paul laat zich niet met de stroom meedrijven en heeft een eigen kijk op de dingen om hem heen.
Zelf noem ik hem een progressieve realist waarbij zijn werken soms dichtbij het pointillisme, het impressionisme en de pop-art aanleunen. Black city, Flower city en Burj khalifa zijn daar typische voorbeelden van.
Ecological footprint” 41 ” en the kids getuigen dan weer van een andere aanpak. Deze varieteit siert de mens Paul Hofman. Het telkens weer worstelen met de materie met het uiteindelijk beoogde resultaat als gevolg.Een genot voor het oog.
